Activate Library Account

The Olin Library is a member of the Minuteman Library Network (MLN), a consortium of 40+ public libraries (and a few academic libraries) in greater Boston. MLN libraries share a unified catalog and delivery system, allowing Olin students to access, borrow, and return materials from the entire network at any MLN library, including Olin.

Why Activate

We strongly recommend all Oliners activate their online MLN account following the steps below. Activating your account has many benefits:

Request book deliveries with a single click in the Olin-MLN catalog. From any search results page, click “Place Hold” and your book will be delivered to Olin in 7-10 business days.
Access our collections on Libby, which includes thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines, including Olin-exclusive content with shorter wait times than other libraries.
Manage renewals and other account features

Everyone at Olin automatically becomes an MLN member upon joining the community. Your Olin ID is immediately valid for borrowing at any MLN library.

How to Activate (2-3 minutes)

Go to olin.minlib.net
Click "Sign In" then "Forgot your password?"
Follow prompts and enter the number on your Olin ID that begins in 221
Check your Olin email for the reset link and open it
Enter a 4-6 character password and save it somewhere
You're activated! Use your 221 number and password to log into Libby or the catalog.
