Creation & Art Spaces

The Library provides hands-on spaces and equipment for creative projects, prototyping, and learning new skills. These spaces are the Sewing Area, the Sound Studio, and the Workroom, each containing their own specialty equipment. We also offer optional training for our circulating collection of cameras and other A/V gear, and require it for the most complex items in that collection.

Requirements

Training is required for our major maker equipment. Using equipment without completing required training violates Library policy and the Honor Code. See Equipment Requiring Training for more details.

How/When to Sign Up

We send out the training sign-up sheet by week 4 of each semester via email and posted on library.olin.edu. If you need training sooner, or the posted times don’t work for you, please contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Trainings are led by our experienced student workers.
