Declaration of major/change of major
Students declare their major during their sophomore year. For each of the 3 majors, and those with concentrations, declaring a major is simply a form submission. However, each student should maintain a plan of study which outlines their path to their degree, and majors that allow for considerable student choice (e.g. E:Bio, E:Design, E:Self, or E:Sustainability) are REQUIRED to submit a plan of study detailing their choice of courses within their major. These plans must be reviewed by faculty with curricular expertise for approval.
Olin understands that a student's path toward their degree may change and, as a result, students can complete a change of major/plan form to update or change their program, major, and/or plan of study.
Note: Students who change their major should be aware of their remaining degree requirements. Additionally, they are responsible for all tuition, room/board and fees for any semesters required beyond the eight covered by the Olin scholarship.
