Creation & Art Spaces
The Library provides hands-on spaces and equipment for creative projects, prototyping, and learning new skills. All major equipment requires one-time training regardless of your experience level.
Section Overview
- Using equipment without required training violates Library policy and Honor Code.
- Training signups are announced by week 4 each semester via email and posted on library.olin.edu.
- Training required for major powered equipment and the screen printer.
Equipment and supplies policies and use:
- Educational and personal projects always welcome. Use supplies and equipment thoughtfully. Do not use the Library to supply personal businesses.
Spaces & Gear:
- Workroom: Screen printing, vinyl cutting, etching press, art supplies (no oil paints, aerosols, harsh chemicals, etc.)
- Sewing Area: sewing machines, serger, hand sewing tools, fabric
- Sound Studio: Professional audio recording (reservation required via Outlook)
- Library of Things: Cameras, audio equipment, lighting gear
