2025-2026 Handbook Updates

Campus policies in the Student Handbook are reviewed annually and some policies may be updated, added, or deleted. These changes typically occur in August prior to the start of the academic year, however some changes or updates may occur throughout the year. It is our practice and goal to inform the community as soon as practical about any changes. This section provides an overview of some of the substantive changes to the Student Handbook for the 2025-2026 academic year. Note that many policies were updated to increased clarity, update relevant regulations, etc.

An appendix has been added to collect additional polices from around the college including

The On Campus Housing Agreement for 2025-2026 which all students who live on campus agree to in the Room Selection or Housing Assignment process.
The Campus Access Agreement for 2025-2025 which all full-time Olin students who are approved to live off campus while enrolled in Olin College coursework agree to.

Within Residence Life, the Bedrooms & Suites section has been updated to prohibit all ceiling hangings as per the Needham Fire Marshal and a new Plumbing section has been carved out to gather policies related to sinks, showers, and toilets in one easy spot for students.
