Alternative Loan Options
Some students and families may require additional assistance to meet their educational expenses. While Olin College does not maintain a preferred lender list, families are encouraged to research and select the private or alternative loan option that best fits their financial needs.
If a student has submitted a FAFSA and has been offered federal student loans, they must either accept those loans or certify their understanding that federal loan terms may be more favorable before Olin can certify eligibility for an alternative loan.
Students or parents pursuing alternative (private) loans will also be required to submit a Self-Certification Form to the lender prior to loan approval, as mandated by federal regulation.
