We live in an era of immense scientific and technical knowledge; millions of scientific papers have been written and indexed by searchable catalogs. But these papers are written with jargon and higher-level math, making them are incomprehensible to most. Non-experts rely on translators, or science communicators, to accurately convey the meaning of those papers. It is science communicators that allow everyday folks to make science-informed choices about the food they eat, the medical care they receive, and what products they buy. In this course, you will learn the principles of good science communication. You will critically analyze and discuss science communication media. You will practice communicating technical topics using various media, which may include written articles, podcasts, and interactive games.
